About Total Credit Recovery:

We are a leading financial services company in Canada, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and recovering outstanding accounts. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Collections Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of collection officers and supervisors. This includes establishing work schedules and procedures, resolving work-related problems, and identifying training needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement work plans to achieve collection goals
  • Monitor daily attendance and performance of collection officers
  • Conduct weekly training sessions to ensure collection officers are up-to-date on policies and procedures
  • Perform file audits to ensure compliance with credit and collections policy
  • Handle escalated calls and provide resolution to customers
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a collections or related role
  • Strong knowledge of credit and collections policy, systems, and controls
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Telecom/1st party/Credit Card/Payment Processing industry experience, MS Office products, Work & Excel proficiency, solid aptitude for technology, and collection software.
