We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated People & Culture Advisor to join our team at Fine Choice Foods Ltd. This is a full-time opportunity that will work on-site at both of our Richmond locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR guidance to all levels of staff, including interpreting company policies, provincial and federal legislation, and providing guidance regarding HR initiatives.
  • Full-cycle recruitment and onboarding of new employees, including posting job openings, screening and interviewing candidates.
  • Consult with and advise Managers/Supervisors on employee issues – performance, absenteeism, conflict resolution, and company policy interpretation.
  • Act as an employee advocate and address their various needs and concerns with empathy and humility.
  • Liaise with appropriate managers to coordinate the offboarding process for departing employees, conduct exit interviews, and analyze results.
  • Serve as a member of various committees (OHS, Social Committee, etc.) with responsibility for developing a team culture that nurtures our values.
  • Lead various core annual programs, including but not limited to: Benefits Open Enrollment, Wellness Events, Training & Development, Compensation Planning, Permanent & Temporary Recruitment, Performance Review/Talent Assessment, etc.
  • Facilitate communication across the organization, providing guidance to employees and leaders on problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Provide consistent leadership and guidance to team members to increase their effectiveness and establish healthy and constructive working relationships.
  • Ensure the plant follows local, provincial, and federal laws as well as established HR processes and procedures.
  • Complete other special projects, duties, and assignments, as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role within a manufacturing, light industrial, or similar setting.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, and/or CPHR Certification or working towards it.
  • Proven ability to establish priorities and organize work accordingly.
  • Versatile inter-personal skills and collaborative solutions-oriented approach.
  • Experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment is preferred.
  • You're intellectually curious with a proven ability to apply learnings effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (additional languages are an asset).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range (based on experience) between $52,000 - $62,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package, including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account, and more.
