Your Role: Digital Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, Communications, and Events, you will play a vital role in promoting the department's activities and initiatives. Your expertise in digital media will be instrumental in engaging students, faculty, staff, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute effective digital media strategies to promote events, programs, and services across various platforms.
  • Lead the social media strategy for the department, staying abreast of trends, emerging platforms, and best practices. Manage and update the website, ensuring its content is engaging and informative.
  • Conduct market research to understand student and community needs and preferences. Utilize social listening tools, surveys, and other methods to gather valuable insights.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and writers to create compelling content for all digital channels.
  • Plan and evaluate promotional activities at events, providing guidance and support to the promotion team to enhance the fan experience.
  • Manage a team of casual staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Sports Management, Public Relations, or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills with a proven ability to multitask effectively.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong administrative experience who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Supervisory experience is essential.
