About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at 954559 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
  • Hand Washing and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to maintain their cleanliness.
  • Kitchen Cleaning: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with standing for extended periods, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks is required.
