About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Resilience Specialist to join our team at National Bank. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the resilience and stability of our IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote best practices for resilience and stability among application and infrastructure teams.
  • Understand the main flows of our critical environments and identify single points of failure.
  • Support IT teams to improve their documentation and architecture diagrams to include resilience and stability information.
  • Develop and automate applications as needed.
  • Promote and increase the automation of IT tasks to reduce human error.
  • Conduct end-to-end stability analysis and provide recommendations to improve system performance and resiliency.
  • Promote good monitoring practices and support IT teams in implementing key indicators of resilience and stability.
  • Support IT teams following major events impacting the resilience of their systems.
  • Influence the development strategy of SREs by establishing an RREs practice.
  • Influence and help prioritize automation and optimization opportunities.
  • This role is key to delivering our development plan and achieving our quality objectives.

Requirements
  • 10 years of expertise in developing online services in a complex environment composed of new and old technologies.
  • Expertise in software design of complex systems supporting thousands of competing clients.
  • Excellent understanding of DevSecOPS, monitoring, and observability principles.
  • Knowledge of various database technologies, including MongoDB, Redis, and SQL.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technology (service development, deployment, automation, and operations).
  • Experience in infra capacity analysis (CPU, Memory, Latency, IO, Bandwidth, etc.).
  • Experience in load testing and analysis.
  • Great ability to solve complex multi-system problems.
  • Excellent understanding of DevSecOPS and SRE principles, monitoring, and observability.
  • Expertise in complex ecosystem monitoring.
