Registered Practical Nurse

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in Medicine Telemetry. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all patients and staff, adhering to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
- Exercise sound professional judgment, using best practice guidelines and evidence-based practice to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Enrolled in or successfully completed the IV Therapy Course.
- Coronary Care Level 1 certificate from a recognized institution or commitment to successfully complete within six (6) months of hire.
- Coronary Care Level 2 certificate from a recognized institution or commitment to successfully complete within one (1) year of hire.
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO).
- A minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years.
- Experience in Telemetry, Coronary Care or Intensive Care.
