Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in Surgical Ambulatory Care. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with complex care needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic, high-quality care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Contribute to safe, quality care by managing a workload effectively, addressing and resolving issues, and exercising sound professional judgment.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
  • Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO).
  • Experience with starting and maintaining IV Therapy.
