We are seeking a highly skilled Seasonal Patrol Maintenance Technician-Infrastructure Management to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. This is a seasonal position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on infrastructure assets, including roads, bridges, and tunnels.
- Assist in the planning and organization of work activities, including arranging for equipment and materials.
- Oversee work operations to ensure value for money is being achieved and work is being performed in accordance with safety requirements and standards.
- Provide leadership and training to junior staff, including instructions on safety techniques and procedures.
- Inspect work performed by contract staff for compliance with standards and contractual agreements.
- Advising supervisors on work performance, training, planning, and organizing traffic control at work sites.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Completing and maintaining records related to equipment operation, maintenance hours, and material usage.
- Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of weekly, monthly, and annual work plans.
- Providing information for analysis of contractor or public claims.
- Liaising with property owners, the general public, and other organizations to promote good public relations and ensure compliance with Ministry and Ferrovial Services requirements.
- Occasionally operating patrol equipment and performing laboring tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industry repair, maintenance, or landscaping (outdoor work) (Preferred)
- Valid Ontario Class "DZ" Driver's License and MTO Operator's Permit, and acceptable driving record.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles.
- Frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, frequent exposure to insects, and infrequent exposure to reptiles/rodents.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of safety awareness. They will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including maintenance and repair, planning and organization, and leadership and training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, road maintenance, or a related field, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
