Culinary Operations Supervisor

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities within the food service department. This position requires a blend of leadership, organization, and culinary knowledge to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or a non-university certificate or diploma lasting 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in food service management.
- Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
- Order food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels.
- Train and mentor staff on their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Assess the ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
- Prepare financial plans and cost estimates for the department.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Compile and submit reports regarding departmental performance.
- Prepare summaries of food orders for the head chef.
- Supervise the delivery of food trolleys to ensure quality service.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
This is a permanent position requiring 37.5 hours per week of commitment. The primary language of work is English.
