Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM z/OS Security Consultant, you will assist clients in deploying systems that ensure the utmost level of data protection available in the market. Your expertise will guide organizations in leveraging built-in enterprise security features and streamlining intricate operational security workflows.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with z/OS operating systems and associated products.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the IBM RACF security solution.
- Fundamental understanding of contemporary security threats and strategies for mitigation.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, including requirements gathering, documentation, presentation creation, and executive-level communication.
- Basic familiarity with various security compliance standards such as HIPAA, STIG, PCI, and GDPR.
- Technical proficiency in the IBM Z Security Portfolio, including zSecure, Pervasive Encryption, Crypto Express hardware, and Central Processor Assist for Cryptographic Function (CPACF).
- Knowledge of z/OS software and hardware releases relevant to enhancing Z security measures.
- Experience in compliance and audit processes, generating secure reports to assess and address security incidents.
- Willingness to travel 50-75% annually.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Over 5 years of experience with various security compliance standards such as HIPAA, STIG, PCI, and GDPR.
- In-depth technical knowledge of the IBM Z Security Portfolio, including zSecure, RACF, Pervasive Encryption, Crypto Express hardware, and Central Processor Assist for Cryptographic Function (CPACF).
- Familiarity with z/OS software and hardware releases that contribute to advancing Z security solutions.
- Experience in compliance and audit processes, including generating secure reports to analyze security events and identify vulnerabilities.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Pervasive Encryption, Crypto Express hardware, and Central Processor Assist for Cryptographic Function (CPACF).
- At least 2 years of experience with TKE.
- 2+ years of experience with IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager (formerly known as SKLM).
- Experience in deploying and/or managing security for IBM z/OS.
