About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM z/OS Technical Expert and Mainframe Consultant to join our team at IBM Computing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering world-class services to our clients, leveraging your expertise in IBM products to help them solve their most complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on IBM z/OS and mainframe storage solutions
  • Develop and implement customized solutions to meet client needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IBM technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IBM z/OS and mainframe storage administration
  • Deep knowledge of IBM z/OS and mainframe storage systems, including DFSMS and DFHSM
  • Experience with implementation and usage of z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud object storage and IBM Transparent Cloud Tiering
  • Knowledge of IBM DS8xxx and IBM TS77xx storage systems
  • Experience with HCD and IODF requirements
  • Project management skills, including experience with data center migrations and sysplex splits/merges
