About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe and Storage Consultant to join our team at IBM Computing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering world-class services to our clients, leveraging your expertise in IBM products to help them solve their most complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help clients consolidate z/OS LPARs and implement DFSMShsm/dfp Fast Replication Services
  • Plan and execute sysplex splits of production and test z/OS environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions to clients
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IBM technologies and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mainframe and Storage administration
  • Deep knowledge of z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, High Availability, Storage, Performance, and Tuning
  • Experience with z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF) and IBM Z Container Extensions technology (zCX)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with clients and internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Data Center migrations and Sysplex splits/merges
  • Knowledge of IBM DS8xxx and IBM TS77xx storage systems
  • Experience with cloud object storage and IBM Transparent Cloud Tiering implementation
  • Project management skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
