We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team and lead our sales efforts across different territories in Canada.

Job Description

Job Summary: The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing Sales Representatives and Key Account Managers in different territories across the country. The role will develop and implement a strategic plan, taking into consideration the environment, identifying issues and addressing them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve sales goals and objectives, taking into consideration the environment, identifying issues and addressing them.
  • Lead Sales Teams: Lead and manage Sales Representatives and Key Account Managers in different territories across the country.
  • Develop Business Plans: Develop business sales plans for individual accounts, set appropriate objectives for customer calls in line with territory business plans in an effort to meet or exceed sales goals and key performance indicators.
  • Review Performance: Review all data and reports to analyze performance, identify trends, to enable you and your team seize on new opportunities.
  • Develop Relationships: Work with your team members, identify, develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Optimize Routing: Ensure that your team analyzes territory information and insights to develop and execute effective account plans, optimize routing, and maximize field resources to achieve results.
  • Conduct Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews, analyzing product performance against key metrics while providing key recommendations for accelerating growth.
  • Plan and Organize Events: In collaboration with Medical and Sales Representatives, plan and organize speakers programs and other peer to peer activities.
  • Launch New Products: Play a leading role in successfully launching new products.
  • Meet Productivity Expectations: Responsible for ensuring a high level of call and field productivity; expected to meet and exceed expectations for call plans.
  • Grow Sales: Grow Sales, Manage assigned budget, Show Profitability.

Requirements:

  • University Degree: University Degree
  • Pharma Sales Experience: Must have at least 6 years pharma sales experience and at least 3 years in pharma sales management
  • Canadian Pharmaceutical Environment: Experience and working knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical environment
  • Leadership Experience: Previous track record of leading sales results by utilizing a multichannel approach to reach customers, either virtually or in-person
  • Competitive Pharmaceutical Environment: Previous sales experience in a highly competitive pharmaceutical environment
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using social media tools is an asset
  • Time Management: Very strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own workload whilst multi-tasking in order to meet deadlines and be able to manage other team members
  • Selling Skills: Strong innovative and creative selling skills. Must have entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Technical and Product Knowledge: Must have ability to learn both technical and product related materials
  • Communication Skills: High energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented and must have the ability to lead and inspire change
  • Partnering: Ability to communicate with physicians, executives and business partners
  • Brand Strategies: Ability to partner with the sales force and sales management to develop brand strategies
  • Product Launch Experience: Product launch experience an asset
  • Listening Skills: Developed listening skills
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Hospital Selling Experience: Hospital selling experience is an asset
  • Driver's License: Drivers Licence Required

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000
