About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Director of Corporate Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director and Corporate Services teams, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Corporate Services and Corporate Services teams, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and preparing reports.
- Support the maintenance of the Corporate Services area on our internal hub, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Manage the staff parking program and database, ensuring efficient and secure access for employees.
- Assist with contract preparation and archiving, as well as purchasing and reconciling office supplies and uniforms.
- Coordinate travel, education, and periodicals for staff, as well as payment of expenses.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail for the department, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
- Provide backup support for the Corporate Services Business Analyst, HR Assistant, and Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Employee and Corporate Services as required.
- Act as an information resource for internal and external clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in business or office administration, with 5+ years of progressively more responsible administrative experience.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office environment and Lotus Notes, with experience with Cognos and Adobe InDesign a definite asset.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member, with strong proofreading and editing skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and competing deadlines.
- Periodically required to lift heavy storage boxes and supplies (10 to 20lbs).

Salary: $56,552.00 to $62,802.00 per annum (Pay Grade 7)
This position is temporary for a period of up to one year with the possibility of extension or permanency. Final candidates for this position are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment. Successful candidate must reside in Alberta and be able to work in person in our Edmonton downtown office as required by their position.
