Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Camosun College. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing administrative support to the Director and other administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with budget development and management, including monitoring financial expenditures and preparing quarterly financial reports.
  • Supervise and train assigned staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective operation of the division.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including making flight and hotel bookings, obtaining country-specific entry visas, and organizing travel advances.
  • Provide research and analytical support to the division, including collecting and analyzing data, creating summary reports, and presenting findings.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Office Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with budget development and management.
  • Exceptional administrative support skills, including the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work positively and professionally with the public and college staff.
