Job Overview

FLINT Corp. is in search of a dedicated Scheduler to enhance our operational efficiency. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the formulation and organization of production timelines for the fabrication, installation, and upkeep of industrial process systems. Collaborating with various supervisory levels, you will ensure that projects, outages, shutdowns, and maintenance activities are meticulously planned and executed by establishing the sequence and lead time necessary to align with the client’s projected master schedule.

Position Details

This is a permanent position based on a camp schedule, featuring a 7-day on and 7-day off rotation. Transportation to the work site will be arranged from designated flight hubs. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of mechanical scheduling experience and a strong emphasis on safety are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Site Management Team and Client to facilitate effective project planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure all expenditures receive approval from the Project Manager.
  • Maintain the master schedule for the project, documenting the effects of completed and outstanding work.
  • Deliver timely and accurate periodic project reports.
  • Employ custom layouts, including critical path analysis and baseline comparisons.
  • Drive effective front-end planning, construction, and project turnover phases, ensuring seamless integration with the project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and productivity, identifying concerns and proposing timely solutions.
  • Analyze changes and provide planning solutions through what-if scenarios.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to enhance the overall planning and scheduling process.
  • Ensure all planned work adheres to the highest safety standards, fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Review contractor schedules to ensure they are realistic and integrated into the Master Schedule.

Candidate Profile

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Prometheus is required.
  • Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling within a mechanical context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • A degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent training and experience.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical scheduling/planning experience in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures across various work scenarios.
  • Competence in reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic focused on safety and productivity.
  • Up-to-date safety certifications are essential.
