About the Position

We are seeking a Fraud Triage Specialist to become a member of our Investigative Services team in Western Canada.

In this role, you will be tasked with evaluating investigative tips and leads related to Auto and Property insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detect indicators of fraud in insurance claims by gathering and analyzing data to ascertain if further investigation is warranted.
  • Perform initial assessments of claim leads across various lines of business (auto and property) by analyzing claims evidence and providing recommendations for further investigation to adjusters and management.
  • Employ fraud analytic tools to scrutinize leads and assess the credibility of the information.
  • Engage in and/or oversee project initiatives, collaborating with members of the Investigative Services and other Claims departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Communicate promptly and respectfully with stakeholders (both internal and external) when making decisions or providing feedback on leads, tips, and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance fraud detection strategies, financial tracking, and support business initiatives.
  • Innovate investigative approaches and contribute to artificial intelligence initiatives for claims across all lines of business.
  • Educate and liaise with regular market staff on fraud awareness initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in claims related to auto, accident benefits, property, or casualty is an asset.
  • Understanding of provincial legislation governing auto insurance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Strong data analysis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to recognize fraud indicators and develop innovative investigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence initiatives and their practical applications.
  • Investigative experience in the insurance and/or financial sectors is considered an asset.
  • While Canadian work experience is not required, candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
