Position Available: Camp Culinary Support Staff

Position Overview:

The Camp Culinary Support Staff will assist the Head Cook in providing nutritious meals and snacks for youth participants and camp personnel throughout the duration of the camp program. This role is vital in ensuring that all attendees enjoy healthy and satisfying meals during their time at camp.

Key Responsibilities:


• Arrive punctually for early morning shifts

• Follow verbal instructions from the Head Cook regarding meal preparation and cooking methods

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all cooking and food preparation areas in accordance with health regulations

• Prepare nutritious snacks for campers, instructors, and guests

• Ensure that all prepared dishes meet established quality and quantity standards

• Assist in the cooking and serving of meals

• Operate large-scale cooking equipment, including outdoor grills and fryers

• Clean dishes and cooking utensils after each meal

• Interact respectfully with youth, adults, and authority figures

Qualifications:


• Food handler's certification is advantageous

• Clear background check for working with vulnerable populations

• Experience in preparing meals for large groups is preferred

• Ability to assist with grocery shopping for food supplies

• Previous experience working with youth is beneficial

• Availability to work full days with scheduled breaks
