Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and guests, ensuring a positive experience at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Services: Greet members and guests enthusiastically, ensuring a positive culture at the club.
  • Customer Support: Promptly resolve customer inquiries via in-person encounters, phone, and email.
  • Account Management: Monitor member check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and ensure timely payment.
  • Event Promotion: Promote club events, group fitness classes, and other in-club activities to members and guests.
  • Point of Sale: Process retail and concession sales, as well as manage daily cash reconciliation documents.
  • Membership Administration: Check in members and guests, distribute membership cards, parking decals, towels, and other materials as needed.
Requirements
  • Availability: Must be available to work closing shifts, including Tuesday-Thursday 5:45pm-10:45pm and Saturday 4:15pm-8:15pm.
  • Shifts: Additional shifts will be available for pick-up, ranging from 4-5 hours in length.
  • Availability: Must be available at least 3-5 days a week.
  • Location: Ideal candidate lives in the UBC area or close to the facility.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation or access to a vehicle.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a positive attitude and outstanding adaptability.
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and able to take payments and handle cash transactions.
  • Teamwork: Able to work alone or in groups, with a willingness to ask questions and learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to speak English, with the ability to speak other languages an asset.
  • Certifications: Basic first aid certification/training required.
  • Availability: Must NOT be traveling for more than 7 days over the summer - NO extended time off.
