Job Summary
Arctic Electrical Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support our office operations in Iqaluit, Nunavut. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing office processes, and ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to our team members, including generating letters, spreadsheets, and forms as needed
- Assist in generating and distributing purchase orders, tracking purchase orders from generation to delivery
- Follow up with vendors on shipment of materials and/or shop drawings as needed
- Assist with scheduling delivery of materials to Nunavut for Sealifts
- Update spreadsheets used by field operations as requested
- Manage office processes, including filing systems and document control
- Assist with Health & Safety program
- Schedule and track meetings
- Develop and maintain effective communication with team members, vendors, and clients
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Requirements
- Education
- Secondary School (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time-management skills and multitasking ability
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software and systems
- Experience developing office processes and filing systems
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling confidential information
Working Conditions
- 10 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
