Job Summary

Arctic Electrical Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support our office operations in Iqaluit, Nunavut. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing office processes, and ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative assistance to our team members, including generating letters, spreadsheets, and forms as needed
  • Assist in generating and distributing purchase orders, tracking purchase orders from generation to delivery
  • Follow up with vendors on shipment of materials and/or shop drawings as needed
  • Assist with scheduling delivery of materials to Nunavut for Sealifts
  • Update spreadsheets used by field operations as requested
Office Management
  • Manage office processes, including filing systems and document control
  • Assist with Health & Safety program
  • Schedule and track meetings
Communication
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with team members, vendors, and clients
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely manner

Requirements

  1. Education
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience
  • Administrative experience: 2 years (preferred)
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time-management skills and multitasking ability
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software and systems
  • Experience developing office processes and filing systems
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable handling confidential information

Working Conditions

  • 10 hour shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed
