Job Title: Capital Planner and Special Projects Coordinator

This is a challenging opportunity to work with the Government of Nunavut in Iqaluit, Nunavut. As the Capital Planner and Special Projects Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing capital budgets ranging from $1 million to $50 million.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective capital planning, programming, and management systems for the Department of Justice.
  • Work with program and technical personnel, as well as the public, to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Travel and conduct regular community visits and consultations to communicate project status and gather feedback.
  • Negotiate and analyze current and proposed projects with the Department of Community and Government Services.
Requirements:
  • Recognized university degree in architecture, commerce, project management, engineering, or related field.
  • At least two years' experience in capital planning or a related field.
  • Experience in managing capital budget projects is an asset.
Language Requirements:

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English, and French. Fluency in two or more of Nunavut's official languages is considered an asset.

The Government of Nunavut is committed to creating a representative workforce and will give priority to Nunavut Inuit who self-identify as being enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
