Job Summary

The Project Officer will work under the direction of the Assistant Director, Inuit Training Programs, to review funding proposals, monitor, evaluate, and coordinate work related to the Makigiaqta Inuit Training Cooperation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze funding proposals to ensure alignment with program objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate program progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, governments, training organizations, and other sectors to achieve program goals
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure program effectiveness
  • Maintain relationships with program partners and stakeholders
  • Provide informed and evidence-supported recommendations for program amendments and improvements
Requirements
  • Grade 12 high school diploma
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Good problem-solving abilities and strong motivation
  • Ability to work under stress and pressure, meeting demanding deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Nunavut Agreement, NTI's mission, and federal and territorial government mechanisms
  • Fluency in the Inuktitut/Inuinnaqtun language is a considerable asset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement
Compensation

Starting salary is $95,810.00 per annum (commensurate with experience), with a comprehensive benefits package including an employee pension plan, group insurance, and vacation travel assistance.

Housing Allowance of $35,232.00.
