Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to join our team at the Skyline Group of Companies. As a key member of our Development team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the planning and execution of land development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating due diligence and feasibility studies for investigating new development opportunities.
  • Applying for, tracking, and controlling deadlines as required for city applications, construction documentation.
  • Facilitating regulatory duties such as re-zoning, development permits, site plans, and building permits.
  • Researching zoning ordinances, construction regulations, and environmental restrictions.
  • Assisting in coordinating the work of architects, engineers, construction companies, and property managers.
  • Providing general support to the Development team.
  • Coordinating with city or government agencies and community groups on property matters.
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all city and administration staff.
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in internal stakeholder meetings.

Requirements:

  • Excellent researching skills.
  • An understanding of real estate valuation and finance.
  • Previous exposure to the analysis, acquisition, entitlement, development, and marketing of residential land.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively while remaining detailed-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Post-secondary degree in Real Estate, Land Use Planning, Business, or other related education required.
  • One (1) year minimum experience in the residential real estate industry, multi-family residential, and mixed-use projects would be an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
