Job Overview

Aramark is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Support Services team in Red Deer, Alberta. As a Support Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and facilities contract at the site, ensuring compliance with Aramark and client standards, and driving patient and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, administer, and direct all unit activities related to food and facilities service, including financial accountability and compliance with regulatory agencies and client standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Interact with Client Management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization.
  • Provide overall direction and manage performance for all Food Service Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement, and compliance with human resource related policies and standards.
  • Direct, staff, and train food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
  • Develop operational component forecasts and explain variances. Responsible for component's accounting functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all contract obligations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in relevant field.
  • Red Seal chef or experience with oversight of a Food operation would be an asset.
  • Basic Housekeeping Experience or full EVS experience as an asset.
  • Menu management, balancing a budget, and working within assigned operational costs / budget.
  • Requires a minimum of 5+ year's progressive experience managing operations with financial and operational responsibility for the sites / departments.
  • Computer savvy with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of the client, and support staff.
  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client, and Aramark information.
  • Mandatory background check process is a requirement for all qualified candidates.
