Your Responsibilities

This role is based in our technical service facility and reports to the operations manager overseeing field service in the region.

The Field Service Technician II is responsible for executing intricate repair tasks on a variety of medical equipment owned by both customers and the company. This includes ensuring that products are ready for patient use across a diverse range of medical devices. The position involves safe operation of a company vehicle and direct interaction with clients. The technician will also manage product delivery, removal, and service support efficiently and professionally. Participation in an on-call rotation for 24/7 service coverage and occasional overnight travel is required.

Key Duties
  • Utilize manufacturer service manuals to conduct advanced troubleshooting and repairs, working independently on complex issues.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems related to assigned medical products.
  • Evaluate equipment and prepare detailed estimates for necessary repairs.
  • Generate service requests for fee-based work.
  • Conduct technical in-services to educate clients on product functionality and performance.
  • Coordinate and execute small to medium-sized projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Manage parts ordering and shipping, documenting service work meticulously using a handheld device.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and fostering strong relationships.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety training and regulations.
  • Adhere to all relevant transportation regulations, including vehicle inspections and service hours.
Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting of medical or similar electromechanical devices.
  • Possession of a valid passport and visa for training and meetings.
  • Current driver's license with a clean driving record for at least three years.
  • Experience operating fleet vehicles, including cargo vans and larger trucks.
