Your ResponsibilitiesThis role is situated within our technical service division, focusing on providing exceptional support for medical equipment.
The Field Service Technician II is tasked with executing intricate repair operations on a variety of medical devices owned by both customers and the company. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all products are ready for patient use, necessitating safe operation of a service vehicle and direct interaction with clients. The technician will also be responsible for the delivery, retrieval, and maintenance of products at service centers and client locations, ensuring timely and professional service. Participation in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support and occasional overnight travel is required.
Key Duties- Utilize manufacturer service manuals to conduct advanced diagnostics, identify root causes, and perform repairs independently.
- Execute troubleshooting and repairs on electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for assigned medical products.
- Evaluate products and provide detailed written repair estimates.
- Generate service-related revenue through fee-for-service work.
- Conduct technical in-services to communicate product performance and specifications effectively.
- Plan and oversee small to medium-scale projects, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Manage parts ordering and shipping while documenting service work accurately using a handheld device.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding and addressing client needs promptly.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety training and regulations.
- Follow all relevant transportation regulations, including pre/post trip inspections.
- Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing medical or similar electromechanical devices.
- Possession of a valid passport and visa for potential training in the US.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least three years.
- Experience operating fleet vehicles, including cargo vans and larger trucks.
