About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Caring People Healthcare Inc. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for Clients
    • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
    • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
    • Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Household Duties
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
    • Assist with laundry and other household tasks as needed.
  • Medication Administration
    • Administer medications to clients, following established protocols and procedures.
    • Monitor clients' medication regimens and report any concerns or issues to supervisors.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet clients' unique needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 5 years or more of experience in a related field, such as healthcare or social services.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills
    • Fluency in English and/or other languages spoken by clients.
  • Specialized Training
    • Training in areas such as first aid, CPR, and medication administration.
