About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Wellness Home Healthcare Services. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Medical Equipment: Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling of medical equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Patient Care and Comfort: Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, such as taking vital signs, maintaining inventory of supplies, and transporting patients between care facilities.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending. Maintain attention to detail and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
