About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Wellness Home Healthcare Services. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Medical Equipment: Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling of medical equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Patient Care and Comfort: Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, such as taking vital signs, assisting with personal care, and providing emotional support.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care.
  • Transportation: Transport patients between care facilities, using a wheelchair or stretcher as needed.
  • Communication: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly to their requests.
Work Environment

As a Personal Support Worker with Wellness Home Healthcare Services, you will work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care to our clients.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
