Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment
    • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for children.
    • Maintain daycare equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Support Early Childhood Educators
    • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress.
  • Engage Children in Activities
    • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
    • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Support Daily Operations
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
    • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
