About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at peopleCare Communities. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing and personal care to residents, including assistance with daily routines and functions.
  • Review and implement physician orders, administer medications, and monitor resident conditions.
  • Develop and modify resident care plans, and participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Assist in training and directing non-registered nursing staff, and participate in restorative care programs.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, and adhere to established standards and legislative requirements.
Requirements
  • Current Medication Administration Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Current certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
  • Experience in Long-Term Care, or a related field.
  • Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills.
  • Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office applications.
