We are seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at peopleCare Communities. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing and personal care to residents, including assistance with daily routines and functions.
- Review and implement physician orders, administer medications, and monitor resident conditions.
- Develop and modify resident care plans, and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist in training and directing non-registered nursing staff, and participate in restorative care programs.
- Maintain accurate resident records, and participate in quality assurance meetings.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines, and report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
- Current Medication Administration Certificate, or equivalent.
- Current certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
- Experience in Long-Term Care, or a related field.
- Registered with a regulatory body.
- Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills.
- Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office applications.
