Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at RIMEX Supply in Saskatoon. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operation, ensuring the safe and efficient storage and distribution of customer goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and assign tasks to staff, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term warehouse planning, including inventory control and stock management.
  • Manage stock receipt, storage, retrieval, and delivery, as well as shipment loading and transferring.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including workplace safety and security.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff, promoting continuous improvement and motivation.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, inventory levels, and safety metrics.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma and two years of equivalent work experience.
  • College or university degree in business administration or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehousing environment, with a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in operating a forklift, clamp device, pallet jack, and overhead crane device.
  • OSHA forklift certification and experience with WCB regulations and risk assessments.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
