Role Overview

The Corporate Security Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering administrative and security assistance to the Corporate Security team, as well as supporting executive operations within the organization. This position emphasizes the importance of providing exceptional service to both guests and employees while adhering to established security protocols. Reporting directly to the Manager of Operational Compliance & Administration, the Coordinator is tasked with executing a variety of administrative and security-focused responsibilities. As the initial point of contact at the Home Office, the Coordinator is expected to perceive security measures as integral to business success.

  • Manage visitor access and ensure effective control measures are in place.
  • Offer assistance to Executive Assistants and collaborate with the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) team.
  • Serve as an administrative resource for Corporate Security management.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures at the reception area to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Support Executive Assistants with daily tasks and confidential business operations.
  • Act as a front-facing liaison, addressing routine inquiries and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Verify guest and employee credentials, cross-check records, and compile accurate data.
  • Monitor inquiries and resolutions using electronic logs and process credential requests.
  • Assist corporate staff with photo ID requests and the issuance of temporary badges.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of reports, presentation materials, and follow up with business partners.
  • Identify issues with moderate supervision and apply problem-solving skills effectively.
  • Handle incoming calls and address in-person inquiries that require situational awareness.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar customer service or frontline role.
  • 1-3 years of experience or education in Office Administration, Business, Security, or a related field.
  • A Security Guard license is considered an asset.
  • Ability to take initiative and be accountable for assigned responsibilities within a matrix organization.
  • Strong time management skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and providing exceptional service at all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of multitasking and performing well under pressure, with the ability to escalate concerns or threats in real time.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and database management, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Maintains composure in stressful situations or during emergencies.
  • Contributes to the Corporate Security management team on various projects until resolution.
