About the Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical finance professional to take on the pivotal role of Senior Financial Analyst, contributing significantly to our financial planning and analysis initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and structure historical financial data from internal systems.
  • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to develop new financial models as necessary.
  • Generate forecasts and projections regarding company performance, focusing on cash flow assessments and budget discrepancies.
  • Oversee debt facility repricing, explore hedging options, and monitor debt maturities while identifying potential financial risks.
  • Conduct market assessments, including interest rate and lender risk evaluations.
  • Support the preparation of documentation required by lenders for project financing, encompassing invoices, purchase agreements, site plans, appraisals, and environmental reports.
  • Facilitate draw requests from lenders for review and approval by the Capital Manager.
  • Assist in the upkeep and dissemination of financial metrics related to debt, including tracking guarantees, letters of credit, cash collateral, and debt covenant calculations.
  • Coordinate the collection of information necessary for the annual or quarterly loan review process, including financial statements, rent rolls, property taxes, and lease agreements.
  • Create ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by the Capital Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and business improvements.

About You:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.
  • Possession of CPA, CFA, or MBA credentials is advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the real estate sector.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with Yardi, NewStar, or SQL is a plus.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a comprehensive understanding of cost and financial accounting practices, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Highly organized, capable of processing substantial amounts of information and effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Professional demeanor characterized by maturity and a pleasant attitude.
