Job Title: Full-time Hostel Attendant

The Parkdale Hostellerie is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Full-time Hostel Attendant.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide exceptional guest service, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and ensure seamless operations at our downtown Toronto hostel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide warm and friendly greetings to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage front desk operations, including checking guests in and out, handling room assignments, and processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest bookings, payments, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure the hostel's common areas, including the reception, lounge, and outdoor spaces, are clean and well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are cleaned and prepared for guests.
  • Monitor and address any maintenance issues or guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and report preparation.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects, as well as stand for long periods.
