Hostel Attendant Job Description

The Parkdale Hostellerie is seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Hostel Attendant.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests and ensuring a positive first impression of the hostel
  • Answering and directing incoming calls, responding to guest queries and requests
  • Registering and checking guests in, verifying guest information and payment methods
  • Issuing room keys, directing guests to their rooms, and maintaining accurate records of guest room bookings
  • Computing guest billings, posting charges to guest rooms and house accounts
  • Liaising with staff to address guest complaints and maintenance issues
  • Cleaning assigned guest rooms, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained
  • Monitoring visitors, enforcing rules and policies, and maintaining a neat and orderly front desk and reception area
  • Assisting with housekeeping and some cleaning duties
