The Parkdale Hostellerie is seeking a skilled and friendly Full-time Hostel Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our visitors.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guest Services: Greet and welcome guests, answer and direct incoming calls, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Room Management: Ensure proper room allocation, register and check guests in, and maintain accurate records of guest room bookings.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk, handle guest queries and requests, and process accurate payment of guest bookings.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean assigned guest rooms, including stripping and making beds, and ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained throughout the hostel.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Liaise with necessary staff, including cleaners and maintenance, to address any problems or complaints made by guests, and maintain a neat and orderly front desk and reception area.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a hostel, hotel, or shelter environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days and evenings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
