Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled trades workers to achieve operational goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and safety of railway equipment
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external suppliers to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Conduct safety and performance audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and execute training programs to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Manage workforce resources effectively to meet operational demands
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive supervisory experience in a mechanical maintenance or construction environment
  • Relevant mechanical or technical certifications or trade school education is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent
  • Qualification and/or proven knowledge in safe heavy equipment operations such as forklifts, cranes, etc.
  • Previous qualification under CROR Operating Rules is an asset

Working Environment

  • Occasional travel required
  • Rail industrial site that requires walking and sitting throughout the day
  • 24/7 operation that may require varied work schedules
  • Indoor/outdoor working environment
