Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at Rocky Mountaineer. As a key member of our Operations and Mechanical team, you will be responsible for overseeing the front-line mechanical teams, executing the operating plan, and managing workforce resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled trades workers to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Develop and execute maintenance and capital project deliverables to ensure asset reliability.
  • Conduct safety and performance audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, external suppliers, and contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Manage workforce resources effectively to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR), General Operating Instructions (GOI), and Federal Railroad Association (FRA) regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive supervisory experience in a mechanical maintenance or construction environment.
  • Relevant mechanical or technical certifications or trade school education is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
  • Qualification and/or proven knowledge in safe heavy equipment operations such as forklifts, cranes, etc.
  • Previous qualification under CROR Operating Rules is an asset.
