Job Summary
The Store Manager is a key leadership role at Pearle Vision, responsible for driving sales and profits while delivering exceptional patient care and customer service. As a Store Manager, you will lead a team of associates to achieve sales, merchandising, and operational goals, while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management
- Act as manager of store operations, ensuring a sound operational basis and empowering associates to make decisions.
- Drive results by conveying a sense of urgency and directing issues to closure.
- Lead OD business partnership and co-planning, ensuring store meets corporate and divisional expectations.
- Sales and Customer Service
- Aid in achievement of sales goals through personal sales and customer interaction.
- Ensure associates are trained to perform their jobs with a high level of skill and self-initiative.
- Recruitment and Development
- Recruit, interview, and hire high-caliber sales associates to ensure store is properly staffed.
- Coach and develop associates to provide candidates for promotion and future growth opportunities.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure store is in compliance with all Company HR policies and practices, as well as federal and state laws and regulations.
- Appropriately use regional and Corporate HR partners to resolve issues.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED, equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in an equivalent retail environment.
- Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships in an environment of fast change.
- Ability to direct and motivate a diverse associate population.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
- Ability to act decisively in implementing solutions.
- Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.
- Ability to analyze and understand financial reports.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams.
- Ability to demonstrate an exemplary commitment to provide exceptional customer service/sales.
