Position Overview

As a Slot Attendant/Guest Services Representative with Great Canadian Entertainment, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while overseeing the slot machines in a specified area of the casino. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all team members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, slot machine operations, and cash handling.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about slot machines and their operations.
  • Work flexible shifts in guest services as needed to meet business demands.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Verify and process jackpots, short pays, cancelled credits, and hand-pay transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Comply with policies and procedures for all notable and significant cash/cash equivalent transactions.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and pleasant environment for guests.
  • Perform hopper fills and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Ability to obtain a gaming license.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Second language an asset.
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible with work schedule.

Work Environment

  • Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, and non-traditional work hours.
