About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our team at School District #44 (North Vancouver). As a Learning Support Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and providing high-quality instruction to ensure academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and deliver inclusive instructional strategies
  • Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, making data-driven decisions to inform instruction
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education or related field
  • Master's degree or diploma in Special Education or related field
  • Successful experience teaching at the elementary level
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
