Feed Mill Production Operator
Position Overview:
This role involves contributing to a team dedicated to the efficient and safe production of high-quality animal feed.
Key Responsibilities:
The production operator plays a crucial role in a collaborative environment that includes maintenance personnel and logistics staff. Responsibilities encompass:
- Utilizing machinery, equipment, and software systems to manufacture animal feed.
- Completing necessary documentation for assigned duties.
- Adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing practices.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the work area.
- Operating plant machinery to meet daily production goals.
- Conducting troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on equipment.
- Reporting any changes in production flow, equipment issues, or material shortages to the Team Lead or Maintenance.
- Collecting samples of raw materials and finished products, conducting tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately.
- Upholding quality standards and ensuring thorough documentation for feed safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A willingness to learn and strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- The capability to lift 25 kg.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is advantageous.
