POSITION OVERVIEWThe Livestock Feed Transport Operator is tasked with the reliable distribution of feed products while ensuring exceptional, quality-focused customer service in accordance with Maple Leaf Foods' operational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Delivers outstanding customer service Transports feed loads as directed by the logistics coordinator Conducts daily pre-trip and weekly inspections of the truck and trailer Communicates and discusses maintenance issues regarding the truck and trailer with the supervisor Maintains accurate logbook records as mandated Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the tractor and trailer unit, regardless of weather conditions and the necessity for timely feed delivery Completes all required documentation in line with business protocols Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed Capable of operating in extreme temperature conditions, including down to -40 degrees Celsius EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED: Valid Class 1A Driver's License with a clean driving record 3-5 years of experience operating a truck and trailer Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
