Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and support of automation systems within our manufacturing facilities. This position is essential for ensuring operational reliability and efficiency through effective integration and optimization of plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and troubleshooting of Aveva-based systems, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to process changes.
  • Develop and modify PLC code to enhance manufacturing processes, in compliance with global standards.
  • Maintain and manage Manufacturing Execution System (MES) modules and associated reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure the integrity of the manufacturing network and associated hardware.
  • Lead projects focused on digital transformation and automation, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Provide training and support to operational teams, fostering a culture of system utilization and efficiency.
  • Document processes and solutions, contributing to the continuous improvement of knowledge resources.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to define and implement new system capabilities that enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and maintain secure manufacturing environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical) or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and automation within the FMCG sector.
  • Proficient in SCADA systems and PLC programming.
  • Experience with SQL databases and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking protocols.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Aveva systems and Windows Server platforms.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • Experience in integrating automated guided vehicles and enterprise resource planning systems.
