About the Role

Casper Flooring Ltd is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of floor coverings for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings.
  • Hardwood Floor Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors to the highest standards, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Damage Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring accurate planning and execution.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, removing existing floor coverings and contaminants as necessary.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Heavy Lifting: Handling heavy loads is a regular requirement of the job.
  • Work Schedule: The position is a permanent, full-time role, with a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
