About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at 1109608 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, cutting, and fastening underlay and underpadding.
  • Install Flooring: Install resilient floor coverings, hardwood floors, and other types of flooring, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Conduct Tests and Inspections: Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure the integrity of the flooring.
  • Estimate and Plan: Estimate costs and materials required for each project and prepare detailed plans and schedules for installation.
  • Remove and Dispose: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and dispose of them in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in flooring installation is preferred.
  • Language: English language proficiency is required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in dusty environments and handle heavy loads.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and ability to distinguish between colors.
