About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Best Reliable Carpet. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors and resilient floor coverings.
  • Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Removal and Cleanup: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and install carpeting on walls or other surfaces.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Our team works in various locations, including commercial, residential, rural, and urban areas.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Schedule: Our standard work schedule is 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, as we provide on-the-job training.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
