Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hardwood Floor Covering Installer to join our team at MALWA FLOORING AND CARPET LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a solid foundation for flooring installations.
  • Install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces, using knee kickers and other equipment as needed.
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl decking materials and outdoor carpets.
  • Perform direct glue-down and double-bond carpet installations, as well as install resilient stair components.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
